AI assistant: chat and voice

The PixelEngel assistant answers customer questions about our services and working together. When you send a message, your text, the necessary conversation context and selected public PixelEngel information are sent to the Google Gemini API. Voice starts only after you click the start button and allow microphone access. Audio is then sent directly to Google. Minimising the assistant, leaving the page or switching to another browser tab ends the voice connection. You can also end it yourself at any time.

The website does not save raw audio. Chat messages and voice transcripts are held temporarily on our server and expire no later than 30 minutes after the last update. An essential HttpOnly cookie identifies the conversation. Session Storage only remembers whether the panel has already opened in the current tab. Temporary abuse counters and booking records are kept in Upstash Redis for up to 24 hours. Booking records contain a protected fingerprint and booking status; unconfirmed contact details remain only for the session.

Google processes data under the Gemini API terms. For the paid services described there and corresponding use in the EEA, Google does not use inputs and responses to improve its products; limited security logs may remain with the provider. Requested project information and appointment preparation are processed under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; necessary abuse prevention is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

To book, you enter contact details in a separate form and confirm the summary. Only then does our server send those details to Calendly. The booking form is not used as AI conversation context. WhatsApp opens only when you choose its link; no message is sent automatically.

Hosting and technical delivery

This website is delivered through Vercel. Technically necessary connection data may be processed when the website is accessed, including IP address, access time, requested address, referrer, browser information and status codes.

Provider: Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure, stable and reliable delivery of this website. International transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the service provider.

Website Premium Score

At your request, the Website Premium Score analyses a publicly accessible website. We process the URL, your selected goal and company information, optional context, public page content, basic technical characteristics and screenshots of the website.

This data is sent server-side to the OpenAI API to generate the report. The provider for users in the EEA is OpenAI Ireland Ltd., Dublin, Ireland. API data is not used to train models unless expressly enabled by the API customer. PIXELENGEL requests the response with store: false. Limited security and abuse-monitoring logs may still be retained under OpenAI's standard policies.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and, for security and abuse prevention, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. PIXELENGEL does not save the full report in a separate lead or customer database. Please use the check only for public websites and do not enter confidential information or personal data belonging to third parties.

Abuse prevention and rate limits

To protect the free service from automated abuse and disproportionate API costs, successful analyses are limited per internet connection. The IP address is transformed server-side into a non-reversible identifier. Only that identifier, the counter and its expiry are stored temporarily in Upstash Redis. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Project enquiries and transactional email

When you request a project quote, we process the contact, company and project information you provide to assess fit, scope, feasibility, fee and delivery timing. Submitting the form does not automatically create a contract.

We use Resend, Inc., San Francisco, USA, to deliver your enquiry to PIXELENGEL and send your confirmation email. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. International transfers rely on the contractual safeguards offered by the provider. Optional marketing consent is separate, not preselected and is not required for an enquiry.

Project onboarding and Google Drive

After a proposal has been accepted and paid, you may receive a time-limited, signed onboarding link. Project information and selected files are uploaded to a dedicated folder in Google Drive. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Do not send passwords through the form. Project information and files are retained only for project delivery, documentation and mandatory legal retention periods.

Direct contact

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you provide to respond and continue the communication. Depending on the context, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Local browser storage

Some functional results and settings are stored in your browser's session storage so they remain available during the current visit. This storage is not used for cross-visit recognition, advertising or audience analytics.

Project calls with Calendly

Use the calendar icon to book a 30-minute project call by phone or Google Meet. When you open it, our server requests available times from Calendly. You choose the day and time on our website. The embedded calendar connects your browser to Calendly only when you continue to booking. Calendly then processes necessary connection data and the appointment and contact details you enter. You can also follow a link to the separate booking page.

Provider: Calendly, LLC, 115 E Main St., Ste A1B, Buford, GA 30518, USA. Booking data is processed to prepare and carry out your requested call under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Calendly states that international transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Its privacy policy and cookie settings apply inside the calendar and on the separate booking page. You can reject optional cookies in Calendly's cookie settings.

No advertising trackers

PIXELENGEL currently does not use audience analytics, marketing pixels or personalised advertising tracking on this website. Resend is used only for forms you expressly submit. Calendly connects to your browser only when you continue to booking and provides its own cookie settings.

Your rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
